Trainer of the term – Spring 2024

Date: Monday, 29th Apr 2024 | Category: General

We are delighted to offer our congratulations to a group of trainers who have revised, developed and delivered our ‘Child Exploitation’ training after a period of time without this course being included in our programme.

This has been an outstanding piece of work by all the agencies to pull together some training that clearly evidenced and role modelled the importance of practitioners from all agencies working together.

Not only have the practitioners worked under a very tight timescale to get the materials finalised, and then to seamlessly thread it altogether, but they were also then asked to deliver the course as a face-to-face event to 25 delegates.

The lead trainer of the group, Kath Hunt, said:

Working together as part of a multi-agency team to deliver the training was brilliant- it allowed us to pull together our knowledge and offer a holistic approach to safeguarding children where the concerns are exploitation’.

We say a huge ‘thank you’ and well done to:

Kath Hunt – Exploitation Service Oxfordshire County Council

Lucinda Bevan – Violence Reduction Unit, Thames Valley Police

Christopher Ward – Violence Reduction Unit, Thames Valley Police

Emma Merchant – Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust

Jo Goodey – Attendance Team, Oxfordshire County Council
