OSCB Trainer of the Month for Jan / Feb 2023 – Ahlexi Enjily

Date: Friday, 10th Feb 2023 | Category: General

We are pleased to announce the OSCB Trainer of the month, ‘Ahlexi’

Ahlexi is the Director of a long-standing, family-run business, specialising in the early years with a real emphasis on outdoors’ education.   The Aunties’ Old School Nursery has been rated Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ in all categories for more than 33 years. In addition to overseeing nursery operations, Ahlexi also set up and now heads his recently expanded CACHE-accredited Training Centre.

Ahlexi told us why he likes being part of the OSCB Training Pool:

“I wholeheartedly believe we can work to be a real force for good in the lives of others. I also believe that what we do matters, and want to work to make a positive impact now, and in the future by working to leave the world just a little better than I found it. I believe this principle of focussing on the little good we can all do, applies perfectly to safeguarding, at every level, and that little bit of good can be stacked and compounded into something greater. As professionals we can generate some positive change in the lives of children, young people, and families (who, without our positive input, may flounder).  Little by little, I believe we can transform the landscape in which safeguarding cultures thrive. I relish the opportunity to work with other professionals when training, and always learn something new, whether that be from a co-trainer or one of the delegates in attendance.

Despite the discomfort the topic of safeguarding can engender, it remains one of my biggest passions. I want to instil that same passion in others and help them feel inspired about the opportunity safeguarding provides us, to do some good in the world, and make just a little bit of difference – to several lives, or even just one. Being part of the OSCB Training Poole enables me to make a positive contribution, no matter how small.”

Thanks Ahlexi on behalf of the OSCB!
