OSCB child exploitation learning event 30th June – booking now open

Date: Wednesday, 25th May 2022 | Category: General

Improving our practice following the CSPR for Jacob

Booking is now open for this 2-hour OSCB webinar aimed at multi-agency practitioners working with children and families in Oxfordshire. We welcome colleagues from statutory and voluntary organisations.

The session is a follow up to January’s learning event, and will provide a further update on the implementation of learning from the Child Safeguarding Practice Review for Jacob, and what that means for practice in Oxfordshire.

Delegates will hear what has changed following the recommendations from Jacob’s review, and what work is ongoing, as follows:

  • The local Oxfordshire context (Thames Valley Police)
  • A summary of the work undertaken to review the OSCB child exploitation screening tool (Youth Justice and Exploitation Service and Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust)
  • Rethinking our approach to escalation and sharing concerns (Children’s Social Care)
  • An overview of the Banbury peer review pilot project (Executive Principal of Hill View and Orchard Meadow Schools)
