Image result for AnnouncementAs you are aware, earlier this year, the Oxfordshire Safeguarding Children Board postponed all face to face courses for the foreseeable future due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

We have been busy thinking about different ways of delivering safeguarding training, both as a response to the immediate situation but also as an addition to our training portfolio for the future.

We have already been able to launch our ‘Level 1’ and ‘Level 2’ updated eLearning core courses, and a brand new ‘Level 3’ core eLearning course, and we are delighted to say that we are now in the position to be able to begin the roll out of live webinars, delivered by members of our wonderful OSCB training pool!

Dates for the following 2 courses have been added, so please do take a look on the training system for more details and to book a place. The places are limited so early booking is advised:

  • Webinar Level 2: Generalist’ safeguarding course – for both those practitioners who need to refresh their training and for those who have not completed this course before. Delegates must have completed the ‘Level 2: Awareness of Abuse and Neglect’ eLearning course first.
  • ‘Webinar: Early Help Assessment’ – The Early Help Assessment is designed to provide early help and preventative support to families as concerns emerge. The Assessment provides the framework to identify and understand concerns and implement a support plan including other relevant agencies.

We are regularly reviewing and updating our ‘Temporary Training Policy’, which outlines the three safeguarding core courses and the length of certificate validity for each course.
