Thames Valley Police – launch of White Ribbon Action Plan

On Friday 25 November Thames Valley Police launched its White Ribbon Action Plan. This represents Thames Valley Police’s pledge to stamp out misogyny, sexism and male perpetrated violence against women and girls (VAWG).
Assistant Chief Constable Dennis Murray, Thames Valley Police is the lead for this work. He talked about the importance of White Ribbon Day as a starting point for sustainable change, “Today we are launching our three-year White Ribbon Action Plan, starting with 16 days of Action from 25thNovember here at Thames Valley. White Ribbon is a global campaign that encourages people, and especially men and boys, to individually and collectively take action and change the behaviour and culture that leads to abuse and violence”.
