Locality Community Support (LCSS) Advice and Support – Families and Practitioners
- LCSS offer advice, guidance and signposting for parents/carers
- LCSS offer advice and guidance to all community practitioners who are supporting children and families at Level 2a/b in relation to Oxfordshire’s Threshold of Need document. If there are immediate safeguarding concerns these should be referred straight to the MASH
- LCSS provide a named link worker to specific organisations: For example, schools/ Health visitors/GPs, Early years settings etc
- LCSS support practitioners and families when a MASH enquiry does not lead to a Statutory Children’s Services referral, to ensure that Early Help Assessment (EHA) (previously CAF)/Team Around the Family (TAF) processes are in place within the community
- LCSS share information of the services/resources available locally which can be used to support the families of Oxfordshire
- LCSS provide support to Lead Professionals and families, including the provision of advice and attendance at Team Around the Family meetings where appropriate
- LCSS run a fortnightly Early Help Network for partner agencies
