Mind of My Own: Free training videos
Mind of My Own make co-produced apps that help children and young people to have a voice and be heard about things that are important to them.
Oxfordshire County Council Children’s Services are using Mind of My Own Apps to help ensure children and young people they are working with can share their thoughts and feelings. Below are two new videos to help you spread the word to your staff and service users about how Mind Of My Own apps can become a lifeline to them during this difficult time.
Virtual Training for you and your teams
The first video is a condensed 30 minute training: perfect to send out to frontline staff in your organisation.
It includes a brief introduction to Mind Of My Own followed by demonstrations of the One app, Worker accounts and Express. This video has been specifically made to reflect the COVID 19 perspective and shows how using the apps can particularly benefit young people at this time of uncertainty.

Simple sign up
Mind of My Own have also produced a video explaining the steps a young person needs to take in order to sign up to their own One account. Whilst your organisation may not be signed up to use the apps, you can support a young person working with children’s services to sign up for an account and liaise with their social worker.
This is ideal to send out to all frontline staff supporting young people working with children’s services.

Please also see Young Person Guide – Mind of My Own for guidance on signing up to the One app. Support a young person to sign up and encourage them to send a statement to their worker in Oxfordshire!
