Health Advisory Group (HAG)
All Oxfordshire NHS Trust Named and Designated Safeguarding professionals meet 4 times per year to:
- Facilitate effective two-way communication between the Oxfordshire Safeguarding Children’s Board (OSCB) and the Named Child protection professionals across all Oxfordshire NHS trusts.
- To ensure the health contribution to safeguarding activity is coordinated effectively across Oxfordshire including:
- Safeguarding training which is consistent with OSCB approaches, quality assured, evaluated and revised in line with national requirements and local need.
- Serious Case Reviews. Ensuring all learning from SCR’s is disseminated and incorporated into safeguarding training.
- Local policy implementation, policy initiatives and practice development /changes
- OSCB priorities and annual business plan
- To provide a network of support for those taking lead responsibility for safeguarding within health.
